Germaine de Capuccini was established by Carmen Vidal-Ballester in the remote village of Alcoy in Spain. Carmen was interested in natural cosmetics from a very young age, choosing to study in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Algiers. But it was when she moved to Paris, the world’s home of cosmetics, that she further developed her passion and knowledge of the world of aesthetics and beauty.

After settling in Alcoy – a small village in the hills of Spain surrounded by olive groves and orange orchards – in 1964, Carmen established a beauty therapy business for the elegant Spanish ladies of the area. She offered her clients the divine products she developed herself in the tiny kitchen of her small beauty salon. This became the birthplace of Germaine de Capuccini.

Germaine de Capuccini has seen phenomenal growth from those humble beginnings over 50 years ago. Today, it’s found in more than 20,000 spas and salons across 90 countries, including many of the world’s top hotels and luxury spas.

What’s more, as one of the only professional skincare brands with their own in-house laboratories, the Germaine de Capuccini Carbon Zero policy backed by official certification means that they not only recycle and re-use, but they also plant trees to offset any small amounts of Carbon produced, keeping not only our skin beautiful but the planet too.
