We’re not stuck-up or stuffy. The Dining Room’s ambience is refined but relaxed. Its menu takes traditional dishes and transforms them with a modern culinary twist; elevating them to something memorable, distinct and uniquely flavoursome.

Our award-winning Head Chef, Steven Murray, prides himself on being an approachable food guru. Steven’s food is not pretentious. He believes “food art belongs in an art gallery not a restaurant”. His own mouth-watering creations are all about achieving success on your palate and on your plate. And his rigorous sourcing of local Northumbrian ingredients helps keep those food miles down to an absolute minimum.

The Dining Room serves the very best British food at its finest in an atmosphere that is sophisticated but, at the same time, relaxed and welcoming.

Open from breakfast at 7am, serving brunch, lunch and evening meals throughout the day to both residents and non-residents.
