Junior Sous Chef

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a full-time Junior Sous to join our incredible team here at our boutique hotel.

The successful applicant will work alongside our Head Chef and Sous Chef to manage daily kitchen activities.

We are pleased to now offer shared chef accommodation on our stunning 100 acre estate.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the kitchen team in the Head Chef and Sous Chef’s absence.
  • Assisting with the organisation of kitchen stock and ingredients.
  • Assisting with all food preparation and presentation and ensuring quality and restaurant standards are achieved.

Knowledge, experience and skills required:

  • Confidence and experience in leading any section of the kitchen to a high standard.
  • Excellent level of food, hygiene and cooking quality.
  • Ability to work under the pressure of a busy kitchen.
  • Must be enthusiastic towards work and work well as part of a team.
  • Strong organisational skills.
  • Eagerness to learn from senior members of the kitchen team to progress into senior roles within the kitchen team.

What we offer:

  • Salary of £28,000 per year.

Sous Chef

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a full-time Sous Chef to join our incredible team here at our boutique hotel.

The successful applicant will work alongside our Head Chef to manage daily kitchen activities, including overseeing and training junior members of staff, aiding with rotas, ensuring food quality and freshness, and monitoring ordering and stocking.

We are pleased to now offer shared chef accommodation on our stunning 100 acre estate.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the kitchen team in the Head Chef’s absence.
  • Guiding junior kitchen staff members, including, but not limited, to line cooking, food preparation, and dish plating.
  • Overseeing and organising kitchen stock and ingredients.
  • Supervising all food preparation and presentation to ensure quality and restaurant standards.
  • Working with the Head Chef to maintain staff ability and training.
  • Assisting the Head Chef in creating new seasonal menus.

Knowledge, experience and skills required:

  • Confidence in leading any section of the kitchen to a high standard.
  • Excellent level of cooking.
  • Excellent level of creativity and can assist with the creation of new menus.
  • Must be able to demonstrate good food production.
  • Ability to work under the pressure of a busy kitchen.
  • Must be enthusiastic towards work and work well as part of a team.

Housekeeping Staff

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a full-time, permanent Housekeeper to join our team at Walwick Hall.

Knowledge, experience and skills required:

  • Previous experience in a similar role is desired but not essential.
  • Must be available to work weekends as well as early morning starts and later finishes on a flexible rota.
  • A good level of fitness, health and stamina is needed due to the physical nature of the job.

Spa Therapist

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a full-time, experienced NVQ Level 3 Spa Therapist to join our boutique Spa at Walwick Hall, working with luxury Spa brand, Germaine de Capuccini. As a Spa Therapist, you will work in our Treatment Room and remain in charge of Spa guests and consultation sessions – looking after guests throughout their experience in the Spa. You’ll need to be confident performing a range of luxury treatments in line with the specialist brand training you’ll receive upon joining us, and will need to coordinate with the Reservation Team to ensure the best available service for our guests.

Knowledge, experience and skills required:

  • Previous experience in a similar role is essential.
  • NVQ Level 3 qualified.
  • Must be able to work evening and weekend shifts.
  • Must be confident performing a range of luxury treatments (brand-specific training will be provided).
  • Must be able to work on your own and collaborate as part of a team. Brilliant customer service skills required.

Chef de Partie

We are currently recruiting for a full-time experienced Chef de Partie to join our team working to our ‘Lifestyle-friendly rota policy’.

Our Lifestyle-friendly rota policy gives all our Chefs: One full weekend off per month, no 12hr shifts as part of a normal working week, the option to take 3 days per week by working 4 longer days if it suits your needs.

Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Assisting the Head Chef and Sous Chef with our a la carté, tasting menu and Afternoon Tea offering and prep work.
  • Preparing and producing food as directed using modern methods, equipment, and fresh food.
  • Ensuring that the section operates effectively daily.
  • Ensuring that all food cooked and served is of a high quality.
  • Maintaining a sufficient level of mise en place for Dinner service.

Knowledge, experience and skills required:

  • Previous experience is essential.
  • Qualifications desirable.
  • Must be able to work evening and weekend shifts.
  • Ability to demonstrate good food production.
  • Ability to work under the pressure of a busy Kitchen.
  • Must be enthusiastic towards work, cooking to a high standard and being part of a team.

  • £23,000-26,000 per annum. (subject to experience)

Reception Team

We are currently recruiting for a full-time (40 hours per week), permanent member of our Reception Team to join us here at Walwick Hall. As part of this role, the successful applicant will be the proud face of Walwick Hall and will therefore be expected to have excellent communication skills and a friendly, outgoing personality. As part of your day-to-day tasks, you will be required to answer the phone to those enquiring about a booking at both the Hotel and Spa, greet Walwick Hall’s guests on arrival and look after them throughout their stay with us, as well as be comfortable working across various systems.

Knowledge, experience and skills required:

  • Previous experience in a similar role is essential.
  • Ability to work under pressure but maintain high standards.
  • Enthusiastic towards work and providing guests with assistance. 
  • Must be able to work evening and weekend shifts.
  • Experience of Guestline is preferred, but training will be given.
  • Must be able to work both as part of a team and on your own in a busy environment.

Front of House

We are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic team member to join our Front of House team on a full-time basis, here at Walwick Hall. As part of this role, you’ll be responsible for greeting guests, taking orders, having knowledge of the Menu and Wines available for guests to order, amongst other tasks.

Knowledge, experience and skills required:

  • Experience in a similar role within the hospitality sector is desired but not essential.
  • You must be aged 18 or over to apply.
