- Autumn at Walwick Hall
We’re delighted to introduce you to Natalie Williams, our staff member of the month! Natalie has been with us for over 2 years and is a wonderful addition to our Front of House team. If you’ve ever met Natalie and been greeted with her infectious smile and friendly nature you’ll see why! We asked Natalie a few questions to find out a little more about her role at Walwick Hall…
Hi, Natalie! How long have you been at Walwick Hall now?
I joined the team at Walwick Hall just over 2 years ago now. I started in the Housekeeping department but felt my place was best suited Front of House and was lucky enough to be able to move!
What’s your favourite thing about working at Walwick Hall?
Each day is different here and there’s always a new challenge which I love. I really love the social aspect, too! Having the opportunity to mix with different guests from all walks of life is so interesting and I love being able to recommend all my favourite spots in the area.
What’s your favourite dish from our current menu?
It’s a tough choice but I’d have to say my favourite dish is the Parmesan Soufflé. I’m always keen to try dishes I wouldn’t normally choose when we do our menu tastings. In fact, we’ve just had our tasting for our October and November menus and there were so many new interesting dishes with really delicious flavour combinations to try out – I’d really recommend them.
And what’s your favourite cocktail?
It has to be the classic Bramble – I love how fruity and refreshing it is. It actually inspired me to come up with this month’s cocktail “The Autumnal”.
Tell us a little more about you…
I’m actually from Leeds but moved to Hexham around 8 years ago now. I’m a mum to 2 boys so whenever I’m not at work I can usually be found entertaining them…or shopping!
“You always know when Natalie has arrived into the building, she has such a fun personality. I love watching her come up with new cocktail ideas and the pro-active personality she brings to Walwick Hall life!” – Rachel Harrison, owner of Walwick Hall.
