- Summer at Walwick Hall
As we look ahead to brighter days, we’re feeling positive about the future. Many of us have a list of what we plan to enjoy once lockdown is lifted – of course, reuniting with loved ones will be a priority for most (perhaps followed by a trip to the hair salon!) But after the difficult months we’ve all faced, it’s also important to take the time to indulge in some much-needed self-care. To help lift your spirits and inspire your post-lockdown list, here’s just some of the things you can look forward to being able to enjoy at Walwick Hall when the time is right.
Enjoying an Afternoon Tea on our Terrace
With all the wonderful weather we’ve been enjoying recently, we’re dreaming of once again being able to spend sunny afternoons on our safe and spacious Terrace, accompanied by one of our famous freshly prepared Afternoon Teas (and a cold glass of fizz, of course). Our Terrace overlooks our private gardens, which are now awash with beautiful new colours and scents we hope to be able to share with you again soon.
Waking up in one of our luxury bedrooms
After many months spent isolating our homes, what could feel better than finally being able to spend a night in the beautiful surroundings of our hall? With every inch exuding luxury, Walwick Hall is the perfect place to enjoy a well-earned getaway after lockdown. If you’re craving a little escapism, we promise that waking up in the safety of one of our luxury bedrooms to views of rolling green hills and fresh countryside air will prove to be the perfect tonic.
Indulging in fresh seasonal dining in The Dining Room
For food lovers, the joy of visiting restaurants is sure to be a sorely missed pleasure. Our kitchen garden has been growing with great enthusiasm during the lockdown months and we’re seeing plenty of fresh new fruits, vegetables and herbs slowly appearing, ready to be enjoyed by our guests when the time is right. Our talented team of chefs are already busy planning our summer menus for The Dining Room, each based around the fresh seasonal produce from our kitchen garden. While we can’t say for sure when we’ll be able to share them with you, we can promise that they’ll certainly be worth the wait.
Venturing out to make new discoveries
Nestled in the heart of rural Northumberland, there’s so much to look forward to seeing and exploring again during a visit to our Estate. If you’re used to spending your weekends meandering around beauty spots and exploring historical landmarks, a long-awaited return to Hadrian’s Wall and Chesters Roman Fort will be sure to satisfy. Or, if you’ve missed the more adventurous side of life, our neighbouring Kielder Water & Forest Park will also be eventually reopening for water activities, cycling trails and horse riding.
Simply getting away from it all
The past few months has brought incredibly testing times for us all in so many different ways. So one thing we can all look forward to is the simple pleasure of being able to get away from the everyday. To pack up our bags and venture out for a night or two of sheer indulgence, luxury and escapism. And when that time finally comes, our Estate will be here, ready and patiently waiting for your welcome return.
